Job Summary: Our client is seeking a Controls Systems Engineer to join their engineering team. As a Controls Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, programming, and commissioning control systems for manufacturing equipment and processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of control systems within the production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, program, and configure control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems, to automate manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and implement control strategies and algorithms to optimize production throughput, quality, and energy efficiency.
  • Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to integrate control systems into new and existing manufacturing equipment.
  • Conduct testing and validation of control systems, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to maintenance technicians and production staff on control system operation and maintenance.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in controls engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, function block diagram) and HMI development software (e.g., Wonderware, WinCC).
  • Strong knowledge of control system hardware and software, including PID control, motion control, and industrial networking.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
