Corporate M&A Associate Attorney

Our Client is seeking a Corporate M&A Associate Attorney with at least five years of experience in cross-border corporate and M&A matters to join the Corporate Department in its New York office. The associate will have the opportunity to work directly with partners on interesting cross-border corporate matters and M&A transactions. 

The following qualifications are required:
 

  • New York (or equivalent US jurisdictions) bar admission.  
  • At least five years’ experience in general corporate and corporate transactional work (with a focus on cross-border M&A, greenfield investment and other transactions involving Chinese companies) at a large international law firm or a top Chinese law firm with a significant international practice.
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, project management and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with M&A, greenfield investment/economic development project, private equity and general corporate practice.  
  • Problem solver who takes initiatives and ownership of projects, with strong client service and team player mentality. 
  • Mandarin Chinese fluency and English fluency.
  • U.S. law degree (J.D. or LL.M.) and PRC law degree or experience working with PRC companies.  

The individual hired for this position may have the option of electing a lower billable-hours track with a proportional reduction in salary. Associates are eligible to participate in Dorsey’s associate bonus program, subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
