Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled attorney with experience in regulatory compliance and product safety to join their Consumer Products & Liability team. The ideal candidate will provide guidance on compliance with federal and state product regulations, oversee government investigations, and advise on consumer product safety matters, including recalls and reporting obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Safety & Recalls: Counsel clients on product development compliance, regulatory standards, risk assessments, and product recalls at national and international levels.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Provide legal advice on laws governing consumer products, packaging, labeling, chemicals management, and environmental claims.
  • Enforcement & Investigations: Represent clients in regulatory investigations and enforcement matters, including issues related to product reporting failures, efficiency regulations, and consumer protection standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school with active bar membership.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in regulatory compliance, product safety, and consumer protection law.
  • Familiarity with federal and state regulations, including CPSC, FTC, FDA, DOE, and state-specific laws such as California Proposition 65.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple regulatory matters, enforcement cases, and compliance investigations effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong academic record.
  • Experience advising on compliance policies, vendor agreements, and supply chain regulations.
  • Knowledge of ESG compliance, business ethics, and human rights laws affecting supply chains.

Location:
This position is available in multiple U.S. offices, including but not limited to New York, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Dallas, Houston, and San Francisco. Remote opportunities may be available for candidates in select markets—please confirm the recruiting team.
