Job Summary: As a Cardiac Nurse within the NHS, you will provide compassionate and evidence-based nursing care to patients with cardiovascular diseases, supporting their recovery and ongoing management. Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care in line with NHS standards and best practice guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients with cardiovascular diseases, including monitoring cardiac status, administering medications, and providing education and support.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiac physiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans based on patient needs and preferences.
  • Educate patients and their families on cardiovascular diseases, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications, empowering them to self-manage their condition.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing records and documentation, ensuring compliance with NHS quality standards and regulations.
  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the cardiology department, contributing to service development and quality improvement initiatives.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with active NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) registration.
  • Post-registration qualification in Cardiovascular Nursing or equivalent specialty experience.
  • Experience in providing nursing care to patients with cardiovascular diseases within the NHS or similar healthcare setting.
  • Excellent clinical skills and critical thinking abilities, with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
