Job Title: Midlevel Real Estate Associate
Location: Washington, D.C.
Compensation: $265,000 – $310,000 (base salary)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview
Our client is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Midlevel Real Estate Associate with 4–5 years of transactional real estate experience to join their Washington, D.C. office. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a collaborative, global law firm that advises prominent real estate investors, developers, and lenders across various asset classes and industries.

You will work alongside experienced attorneys on complex and impactful matters, gaining exposure to an international client base and diverse development projects. Candidates should possess excellent legal skills, strong business acumen, and a genuine commitment to providing exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate real estate purchase and sale agreements and development-related documentation
  • Conduct title and survey reviews and support due diligence efforts
  • Represent lender-side financing transactions
  • Assist with joint venture structuring, leasing, and planned community documentation
  • Advise on condominium, multifamily, and industrial real estate projects
  • Prepare and negotiate agreements related to sport facilities, tech, and manufacturing assets
  • Contribute to economic incentive discussions and documentation where applicable
  • Collaborate with partners and clients, and take increasing responsibility on projects over time

Qualifications and Requirements

Required:

  • J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school
  • Active and good standing membership with the D.C. Bar or ability to waive in
  • 4–5 years of experience in real estate transactional law at a reputable law firm
  • Strong experience with commercial real estate transactions, development, and lender representation
  • Proficiency in title/survey review and drafting of key real estate documentation
  • Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong academic credentials and professional references

Preferred:

  • Experience with real estate joint ventures, leasing, and economic incentives
  • Background in manufacturing, multifamily, planned communities, or sports/technology-related real estate assets
  • Exposure to foreign inbound clients and international transactions
