Job Summary: Our client is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead the design and implementation of automation solutions within their manufacturing operations. As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will oversee the development of PLC and SCADA systems, robotics, and other automation technologies to improve efficiency, quality, and safety in the production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of automation systems and control solutions for manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Mentor and coach junior automation engineers, providing guidance and support on technical challenges and project execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define automation requirements, develop technical specifications, and execute projects on time and within budget.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends in automation, providing recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Establish and maintain relationships with automation vendors and suppliers, ensuring access to cutting-edge technologies and expertise.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in automation engineering, with a focus on PLC programming, SCADA systems, and robotics.
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation technologies and standards (e.g., ISA-95, IEC 61131).
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
