Salary: $325,000 - $430,000 + Bonus + Full Benefits
A leading Am Law firm is seeking a mid-to-senior level Associate Attorney to join its growing International Trade, Customs, and Trade Remedies practice in Washington, DC.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney looking to build a long-term international trade practice while working on sophisticated matters involving trade policy, customs compliance, tariff issues, antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings, and related litigation before federal agencies and courts.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will work closely with experienced international trade attorneys on a broad range of matters involving:
- ITC Section 337 investigations
- Antidumping (AD) and Countervailing Duty (CVD) proceedings
- U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) matters
- U.S. Department of Commerce proceedings
- Customs and tariff compliance
- Trade policy and regulatory matters
- Administrative and appellate litigation

Key Responsibilities
- Draft briefs, motions, memoranda, agency submissions, and other advocacy materials.
- Support AD/CVD proceedings before the ITC and Department of Commerce.
- Advise clients on customs and import compliance issues, including tariff classification, valuation, country-of-origin determinations, and related matters.
- Conduct legal and factual research involving statutes, regulations, agency precedent, administrative records, and trade data.
- Assist in developing litigation strategy, factual records, and evidentiary submissions.
- Support trade compliance reviews, audits, and risk assessments.
- Manage case workstreams, deadlines, filings, and client deliverables.
- Collaborate with attorneys, economists, consultants, clients, and government agencies on complex trade matters.
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Active DC Bar admission (or ability to obtain admission promptly).
- Experience in international trade, customs, trade remedies, administrative litigation, or a closely related practice area.
- Experience with AD/CVD proceedings, customs matters, trade compliance, or trade-related litigation is strongly preferred.
- Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage substantive assignments independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Genuine interest in developing a long-term international trade practice.
