Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Partner to join its offices in Pittsburgh, PA; Radnor, PA; or Towson, MD. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general labor and employment law and bring a portable book of business. This is a strategic opportunity for a partner-level attorney who is looking for a collaborative platform and support to grow their practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise employers on a wide range of labor and employment matters, including workplace policies, employment agreements, compliance, terminations, and risk mitigation.
- Represent clients in employment-related litigation, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, and wrongful termination.
- Defend clients before federal, state, and local agencies, including the EEOC, DOL, and similar bodies.
- Handle labor relations issues such as collective bargaining, grievances, and proceedings before the NLRB.
- Support client training programs and provide strategic employment counsel to businesses of all sizes.
- Maintain and expand a client base through excellent service and business development efforts.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice in PA and/or MD (or eligibility to waive in).
- At least 8 years of experience in labor and employment law, with both litigation and counseling experience.
- Proven ability to independently manage complex client matters.
- Portable book of business required.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and client service skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and collaborative approach.
