Overview:
We are actively seeking a talented and driven Fiduciary Litigation Associate to join our expanding team in both our Radnor and Pittsburgh offices. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a well-established and sophisticated Orphans’ Court litigation practice that spans the entire Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Our practice focuses on representing a wide range of stakeholders, including fiduciaries, executors, trustees, agents, guardians, beneficiaries, and other interested parties—in resolving disputes involving contested estates, trusts, guardianships, powers of attorney, and other fiduciary-related matters.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of relevant litigation experience, particularly in fiduciary and Orphans’ Court proceedings. This position provides the opportunity to gain substantial courtroom experience, receive mentorship from senior litigators, and play a central role in complex, high stakes matters.

Key Job Functions
- Represent Fiduciaries in Contested Matters
- Advocate on behalf of executors, trustees, agents, and guardians in Orphans' Court litigation.
- Handle disputes involving trusts, estates, guardianships, and powers of attorney.
- Manage All Phases of Litigation
- Draft and argue motions, prepare pleadings, and handle discovery.
- Participate in hearings, mediations, and trials throughout Pennsylvania.
- Engage in settlement negotiations and court-mandated alternative dispute resolution.
- Conduct Legal Research & Draft Legal Documents
- Prepare memoranda, court filings, briefs, and client correspondence.
- Provide strategic legal analysis regarding fiduciary duties, breaches, and contested estate matters.
- Collaborate with Senior Attorneys and Clients
- Work closely with seasoned litigators and benefit from hands-on mentorship.
- Maintain direct client contact, advising clients on legal strategies and risk management.
- Stay Informed on Fiduciary Law Developments
- Monitor changes in Pennsylvania Orphans’ Court rules and related legal developments.
- Apply current legal standards to client matters in a practical and strategic way.
- Participate in Firm-Wide Initiatives and Growth
- Contribute to the expansion of the fiduciary litigation practice within the Radnor office.
- Collaborate across practice areas as needed and participate in firm-sponsored professional development.
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited U.S. law school with active licensure in PA
- Minimum 3-6 years of fiduciary litigation experience including Orphan’s Court litigation and other contested proceedings concerning trusts, estates and guardianships
- Subject matters as well as procedural knowledge and experience are required
- Estate planning and administration knowledge is a plus
- Excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail, highly motivated, and proactive
