Mid-Level Associate Attorney - Civil Litigation (Boston, MA - Hybrid)

A well-established regional litigation firm is seeking a Mid-Level Civil Litigation Associate Attorney with 57 years of experience to join its expanding team. This role offers a balanced mix of autonomy and collaboration, providing meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and exposure to complex litigation matters across multiple practice areas. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a diverse civil litigation caseload from initial stages through resolution. 
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other substantive legal documents. 
  • Lead and participate in all phases of discovery, including taking and defending depositions. 
  • Prepare for and appear at hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials. 
  • Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with partners, clients, and experts. 
  • Conduct legal research and draft well-supported memoranda and briefs. 
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients, providing updates and strategic guidance. 
  • Work closely with partners on complex, high-value cases. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school. 
  • Active admission to the Massachusetts State Bar. 
  • 5-7 years of civil litigation experience in Massachusetts state and federal courts. 
  • Proven experience handling depositions and managing discovery. 
  • Strong advocacy skills and experience drafting and arguing dispositive motions. 
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills. 
  • Ability to independently manage deadlines and compete priorities as a self-starter. 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Salary: $130,000 - $155,000, commensurate with experience.
